Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation involves the care and medical treatment of injured, sick, or orphaned birds of prey. Our team is dedicated to the health and well being of raptors and qualified veterinary medical team is always available to evaluate ill or injured raptors presented to the Trust.
We provide the necessary care and management for these birds during their recovery phase. Spacious flight chambers as well as falconry techniques are used to enhance the speed and conditioning phase of the raptors’ rehabilitation process.
The main aims of our rehabilitation are:
- To rehabilitate raptors as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- To correctly diagnose and treat any ailments, seeking veterinary advice where necessary.
- To provide adequate and suitable housing during their confinement.
- To protect the interests of raptors; from trapping, poisoning, removal from nests etc
